Il 14 ottobre 2020 Dustin Johnson annunciò al mondo del golf la sua positività al coronavirus. Un mese e un giorno dopo Johnson stravince l’Augusta Masters 2020, la gara più ambita di tutte. Per un golfista un successo su questo percorso della Georgia equivale a un Mondiale per un calciatore.

Masters 2020 / 3 Dustin Johnson a 18 buche dalla sua prima green jacket

Un uomo solo al comando dopo il moving day del Masters 2020: Dustin Johnson ha chiuso il terzo giro in 65 colpi (-7) per un totale di -16. Quattro i colpi di vantaggio sul sudcoreano Sungjae Im, sul messicano Abraham Ancer e sull’australiano Cameron Smith. Il defending champion Tiger Woods è 20esimo (-5).
